Glazing - What to Expect

The Glazier’s Apprenticeship training program is dedicated to advancing the status of glazing and providing a state-of-the-art educational program in the rapidly expanding technologies of the glazing industry. The Apprentices in our program can look forward to receiving the necessary education and training to master the skills to have a competitive advantage in today's workplace. Upon completion of the Glazier’s Apprenticeship program, you can expect to receive competitive journeymen wages and benefits.

A glazier is a skilled craftsman responsible for the installation of all glass, glazing systems and architectural metals. Including but not limited to storefronts, curtainwalls, panels, facades, skylights, interior and exterior glass and hand rails.

Upon meeting the minimum requirements applicants will be State and federally registered with the Glazier’s Apprenticeship Program as glazier apprentices. Over the term of four years apprentices in the program will receive paid on-the-job training with various signatory contractors as well as related supplemental instruction at the training center. Apprentices can expect the training to be demanding and continuous as glazing is a highly skilled and constantly evolving trade.
